I'm going to do my project about Scotland. I went there a year ago and it was a lovely place, so I wanted to look for more information about this interesting country.

Anonymous and WikiLeaks
Andres talked about Anonymous a few days ago: how did it start, what do they do...
Anonymous is an Internet meme that originated in 2003 on the imageboard 4chan, representing the concept of many online and offline community users simultaneously existing as an anarchic, digitized global brain.
Then we also talked about WikiLeaks, an international, online, self-described not-for-profit organisation that publishes submissions of private, secret, and classified media from anonymous news sources.
The Swedish police began an investigation into allegations concerning the Australian Julian Assange's (the founder of WikiLeaks) behaviour in separate sexual encounters involving two different women. I think they did it because of what he had done with all those secrets, not because of that (I don't think that's true).

Today Mar has done a presentation about Twitter. She has showed us how to use it, and that there are many celebrities that have an account and write "tweets" (however, most of those celebrities have a person who updates their profiles for them).
Twitter is an online social networking service and microblogging service that enables its users to send and read text-based posts of up to 140 characters(those posts are called "tweets"). It had over 300 million users in 2011, and it has more than 600 employees.
I have a Twitter account and I use it very often, I usually write in English so that people from other countries can understand me. I read what some celebrities tweet, and also what my friends say. I think it's a great social network.

Spotify
Today Peter has done a presentation about Spotify.
Spotify is a Swedish DRM-based music streaming service offering streaming of selected music from a range of major and independent record labels. It was launched in 2008. Spotify had about 10 million users (2.5 million paying members) in 2010. Music can be browsed by artist, album, record label, genre or playlist.
As Peter said, Spotify has a really similar template to iTunes, so it's really easy to use. It's great to listen to the music you want wherever and whenever you want. I have an account, although I don't use it that much. I prefer buying CDs and LP records (the same about "physical" books) as I have always done.
